You can't blame our wonderfully polite and gentlemanly protagonist John T Parker for getting a tiny bit stressed out over the situation he finds himself in. If conversing with gypsies wasn't worrying enough, he now finds himself in the belly of the beast so to speak, where he could die at every turn.
